·3 characteristics of a good and loyal friend·

There is a big difference between an acquaintance and a true friend. People you simply just hang out with will come and go as I have experienced many times, but true friends are\ people who will always be there for you. Even in the bad times when all hope seems lost. Here are 3 markings of a true friend I have found to be good.

1· Honesty. A true friend should always tell you the truth no matter what. Having someone who is honest is priceless and someone you can not afford to lose.

  • Luke 16:10 – “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” (NIV)

2· Dependability. The people who truly value their friendship with you will keep their words . If you cant count on that friend what do you have?

  • 1 John 2:5a – “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him.” (NKJV)

3· Respect & Honor. It is a huge part of a good friendship. If you do not respect someone, their opinions and feelings you will be discounted and overlooked. Without respect, friendship will simply not work.

  • Romans 12:10 – ” Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another. (NKJV

I feel like these tips have really helped me weed out who should be my good friends and who really don’t belong in that category. Hope you guys all have a good week!

God Loves Me Unconditionally Part 1

Romans 8:1-2 (NLT)

8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Maybe you have experienced pain and rejection in your life. Rejection from parent, silibings and other significant people can affect the way you view God and yourself. But God’s word says He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Psalm 34:18 says,

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (NLT)

His word can heal your broken heart.

Here is a study I want you to take on in Claiming your Identity!

Ask yourself this question and follow through with scriptures:

1.)What things have happened in my life that made you ask, “What’s wrong with me?”

2.) Read: Psalm 147:3; Isaiah 38:16 ; Isaiah 57:15 ; Acts 9:34 ; 1 Peter 5:10

3.) What is the consistent message God is sending in these verses?

The world tries to make you feel that you are all wrong, but when you accepted Christ as your lord and Savior, He gave you His righteousness. He wants you to know you’re right with Him.

Hope you come and check in next week for Part 2 with another study section!
