Who are you?

Who are you? God’s Word says you are…

  • A child of God (John 1:12)
  • A branch of the true vine, carrying Christ within you (John 15:1-5)
  • A friend of Jesus (John 15:15)
  • A fellow heir with Christ (Romans 8:17)
  • Chosen, holy and blameless before God (Ephesians 1:4)
  • A new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Even if my father and mother abandon me, the lord will hold me close (Psalm 27:12 NLT)

For someone who has experienced pain and rejection in their life, what hope is contained in the verse above? In your praticular situation, what are some ways God might “Hold you close” ? How can you cooperate with Him to experience emotional healing in your life?

Something to keep you thinking about…

God Loves Me Unconditionally Part 2

Perhaps you think God can’t love you unconditionally because you’ve chosen to disobey Him at some point in your life. Even though He will bring correction when you make mistakes, it doesn’t make Him love you any less. The Bible says that anyone in Christ is a new creation. Your behavior may not change overnight, but when you are “in Christ” a gradual and patient work of transformation begins. God sees your heart and loves you, no matter where you are on the journey.

Study section:

READ: Jonah 4:2 He prayed to the Lord, “Isn’t this what I said, Lord, when I was still at home? That is what I tried to forestall by fleeing to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity.

Jonah proclaims that God is full of love and compassion and is slow to anger. Is there anything you’ve done that needs forgiveness? List those things and begin to seek God’s forgiveness.

Satan loves to place thoughts of self-doubt and condemnation in your mind. But Colossians 1:22 says that you have been reconciled to God. Your faults have been cancelled out by Jesus’ death on the cross. Don’t make mistake of believing the lies of the enemy over the truth of God’s Word.

Set your mind that God loves you unditionally. When you know that, you will have victory and be blessed.

Say, “GOD LOVES ME” (And keep saying it till you believe)

Psalm 139:13-14

New King James Version (NKJV)

13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;[a]
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

God Loves Me Unconditionally Part 1

Romans 8:1-2 (NLT)

8 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

Maybe you have experienced pain and rejection in your life. Rejection from parent, silibings and other significant people can affect the way you view God and yourself. But God’s word says He will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Psalm 34:18 says,

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (NLT)

His word can heal your broken heart.

Here is a study I want you to take on in Claiming your Identity!

Ask yourself this question and follow through with scriptures:

1.)What things have happened in my life that made you ask, “What’s wrong with me?”

2.) Read: Psalm 147:3; Isaiah 38:16 ; Isaiah 57:15 ; Acts 9:34 ; 1 Peter 5:10

3.) What is the consistent message God is sending in these verses?

The world tries to make you feel that you are all wrong, but when you accepted Christ as your lord and Savior, He gave you His righteousness. He wants you to know you’re right with Him.

Hope you come and check in next week for Part 2 with another study section!
