Whose Approval?

You might be trapped in a religious boat, going to church,board,just waiting till it all gets over, playing a bunch of silly religious games, playing up to all the right people so you can be in the right social group at church. That’s not the way God wants you to live. He wants you to be full of zeal and radically in love with Him! If you want God todo something in your life, you have to be willing to step out of the boat. It’s pretty sad when we care more about what people think then we do about what God thinks. Jesus is passing by, and I’m getting out of the boat. Will you join me? Let’s agree: ” I will follow Him. I will not stay in prison any longer; I will be free!”

John 12:42-43

Amplified Bible (AMP)

42 And yet [in spite of all this] many even of the leading men (the authorities and the nobles) believed andtrusted in Him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that [if they should acknowledge Him] they would be expelled from the synagogue;

43 For they loved the approval and the praise and the glory that come from men [instead of and] more than the glory that comes from God. [They valued their credit with men more than their credit with God.]

Make the Change

If we stare at are giants to much, the fear with over take us. Keep your eyes on the prize, not pain. In the Bible, Paul explains how they were passed on each side and trouble and oppressed in every way. They could see no way out, but they refused to give up. He made his mind up that no matter what happened, he was going to finish his course. Paul explained that they did not get discourage because they looked not at the thing they could see but to the things they could not see. If we stare at our problems too much, think and talk about them too much, they are likely to defeat us. I don’t deny the existence of the problems, we don’t ignore them, but we do not permit them to rule us. Any problem you have a subject to change. All things are possible with God! Glance at your problems but stare at Jesus

Hope you enjoyed this.
