We seek Him… We find Him… Then what?

Christ said that if we seek Him, we will find Him. What happens when we do find Him?

How many “Christians” only find Christ when they seek Him . To fill the void that only He can fill, yet to be frustrated into thinking that this is where our search ends? Okay great I am a christian, I go to church, pay my tithes, and do my volunteer hours life is great! No, it is not… maybe for a while that sense of same old routine will be enough but eventually you will want more. Just like any good thing! If we simply find Christ, but we do nothing with what we’ve found in Him, then have we really begun the transformation mentioned in Romans 12:2 (‘Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind’)?  Lets take food for example… If it is an amazing german chocolate cake one bite would be a shame although everyone has told you to keep that figure and not give in, but yet it is so good you just have to! That is how our relationship with Christ should be! We should constantly want more and no matter what people tell us or discouraging things that may come our way, we should always hunger for more growth in Him. After we have this mentality in us we have to find things that will help us continue to grow and become more Christ-like.

You must ask yourself a question. “Are we changing into something that God’s wants us to be or are we just staying saved?”

We want to be people who are overly committed and convicted in what the word says.

Revelations 3:15-16

I know what you have done; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! 16But because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth!

Basically what that scripture is saying to me is that because you are either not a christian or on fire for God you are useless to me. Although that is a hard way of looking at it we have to see how many times God brings up in the scripture that He wants our whole heart. God gave us free will but staying in the grey is not a way to live. Anyways, we have to ask ourselves “Am I going to go all the way with this Christ-like life style or am I going to choose to take salvation without truly giving myself to Christ.” And I guess this begs the question, “If I choose to refuse to give myself completely to Christ (refusing to allow Him to change me into His image) am I truly saved?”

Who would ever want to be “just saved” and risk missing out on God’s help becoming what he designed us to be? I know I sure do not want to be luke warm! I’m tired of struggling personally and seeing others struggling to find out who they are. I want to be committed to becoming who and what God wants me to be. I want to change, redesign normal, “be transformed by the renewing of my mind”! I want to become a great person created and shaped by God’s hands! How about you?

I will leave you with this!

1 Chronicles 22:19

“Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; arise, therefore, and build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for the name of the LORD.”

Joseph’s Dream…

I’ve had this message on my heart for a long time and I finally feel like it is time to share it…

Lets start by  looking over the journey of Joseph…

The Story of Joseph (  Genesis 37-50 )
Joseph, because of the jealousy of his brothers, is sold into Egypt where, after a series of events, he becomes a ruler of Egypt, ranking just under Pharaoh ( 37-41 ). Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt to buy food during a time of great famine. After a time, Joseph reveals his identity to his brethren (42-45). At the insistence of Joseph, Jacob and his family settle in Egypt (46-47).

Now lets expand on it!

Joseph had a dream and the people around him were not ready for it. They thought they could change God’s will because they didn’t think it was best, but that wasn’t what God had planned. No matter what happen to Joseph God was always there. I’m saying, I know its hard but I gave you a dream, trust me and it will be fulfilled. So let’s simmer on that while we move on…

Writing this post and studying these scripture came from a personal reason. God gave me a dream and I opened it to the world when it was time to keep it closed. Now I am going through a hard time like Joseph (Trust me I know it is not EXACTLY like him). I have that empty feeling sometimes wondering is He still out there, has the planned changed, kind of a sense of wonder. Honestly, I have been in ministry and heavily involved in the church for all my life and still there is times where I have to look back and be like God, you still got me?

This is what I felt like He gave me for the up coming year…

It says in Isaiah: “This is God’s year to act.” Not next year. Not five years. Not in the sweet by and by. This is the year God will shift things in your favor. He is lining it all up. What you could not make happen on your own, God will cause you to accomplish. It will be bigger than you thought. It will happen quicker than you imagined and it will be more rewarding than you ever dreamed possible.

That is my story now lets just back to Joseph’s dream.

“Joseph’s story reveals that even though we cannot control circumstances, we can control how we respond to those circumstances.” Margaret Feinburg

God’s main point is He never gives up on you! If He is going to birth a dream in you, He wont ever let it go. So you don’t either!

We are not to regard suffering as a strange occurrence, but rather as a sign of God’s work in our lives. (See I Peter 4:12-19 and Romans 9:14-24.) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:5-7).

John 14:27 (nlt)

27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

My thoughts on that verse is the peace of God gives transcends all our circumstances.

Maybe think about today what habits can you practice to ensure that your circumstances don’t get the best of you and rob you of your peace?

Read over these scriptures…

Psalm 4:8

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.

Proverbs 1:33

33 But all who listen to me will live in peace,
    untroubled by fear of harm.

Isaiah 32:17

17 And this righteousness will bring peace.
Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever.

After reading those what is going on in your mind? Jesus spoke about peace the world can’t give. Pursuing peace is a deliberate choice. One thing you can do is surround yourself with joyful, patient, peaceful people. You become who you hang around.

Just a little teaching this Sunday am to make you think hopefully…

Ps: Sorry haven’t blogged in a while been sick for a while with oral surgery and cold stuff! Hopefully this summer I will be able to get back on track 😉

Love you all…

Joy for the journey…

Did a scripture search the other day and thought I would share! Its all on scripture on how to have joy for your life journey. 🙂

Romans 12:12

12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.

Hebrews 12:1

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.

Psalm 118:24

24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Isaiah 55:12

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains  and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

Acts 2:28

28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

Hope you guys enjoy! 😀

The Impact Of Your Words!

Whether we realize it or not, our words carry alot of weight. You and I probably don’t have any tool more powerful, for good and for bad, than our words.

Ephesians 4:29

Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.

Proverbs 13:3

He who guards his mouth keeps his life, but he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Never underestimate the power of your words and deeds. With a few kind words, you can change a person’s life. For better or for worse. God puts us all in each other’s lives to impact one another in some way.
Just something to ponder about this week! 🙂

Passage Love…

This week I have been fasting and praying a lot… This week is a time of thinking, planning, and praying about the year… This is a scripture that came up again! So I will share hopefully more later into the week or next week but here it goes! 🙂

Habakkuk 2

King James Version (KJV)

2 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Personal Note…

God has a dream and calling for everyone’s life. God is really putting it on my heart heavy going into this next year that I really need to help others fulfill there destiny and God is gonna help me find purpose for mine. So this is just a little personal note for me! 🙂 So in this next year maybe thinking about the plan God has for your life are u on the right track? If you are that’s great but if maybe you are in the same state as me dive into Gods word, maybe get a dream/word journal that you write out things that would help maybe get a direction. I don’t know if this is gonna help anyone but this was really on my heart and want to share.
Love you guys! Hope you guys had a great Christmas🎄🎄
